Letter to Kansas Senators Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran, January 27, 2025.
Dear Senators Moran and Marshall,
I’m writing to introduce you to some important people in my family. As you see, they all served when their country called. One was killed.

Now we are in peril, again, not from foreign enemies, but from a cruel, vulgar, corrupt and lawless President. He tramples on our freedoms, lies daily, doesn’t know our friends from our enemies, ignores the law and the limits of his Constitutional authority, is petty and vindictive in the extreme. None of my family served our country in order for this dangerous, sick man to systematically undo the freedoms and institutions they fought for.
Senator, you know all of this, yet you and your Republican colleagues shrink before him, afraid of his wrath and the angry crowd that supports him. You might consider what future generations will think, what your grandchildren and great grandchildren will think and ask, "What did you do when Donald Trump strangled the life out the United States?"
You need to oppose this President publicly, stand up, be counted, be a voice of reason, be a patriot. You might lose your job. So what? Compared to the millions who served, especially those that died, what is a job worth? You will at least deserve the same honor as the millions of patriots who put their lives on the line.
Thank you for your consideration.
